Xabier Lete (Ingeleraz)

Xabier Lete Bergaretxe was born in Oiartzun, Gipuzkoa, on April 5th of 1944, and died in Donostia, Gipuzkoa, on December 4th of 2010, was an Basque writer, politician and poet.
He started writing when he was young, and his articules were habitually in the << Zeruko Argia >> magazine.
Was a important member of the Basque New Songs. In 1965, he formed the musical group "Ez dok amairu" with Mikel Laboa, Benito Lertxundi, Joxean Artze, Josean Irigarai and Lourdes Irigarai. This group was diespersed in 1972, but he continued singing. Xabier publicated his first poemary in 1968.
He won an "Euskal Literatura Saria" (Basque lerature award). And he was elected to be a Baque Academic.
